About Positive Life NSW

Positive Life NSW (known as PLWHA NSW before 15 February 2008) is a nonprofit community organisation representing the interests of people living with HIV in New South Wales. We work to promote a positive image of people affected by HIV with the aim of eliminating prejudice, isolation, stigmatisation and discrimination. Incorporated on 21 July 1989 it is partially funded by the government and is dependent on donations.

An executive officer manages the organisation in conjunction with an elected board of nine and one staff representative. Full membership is open to a person with HIV living in NSW and associate membership is open to NSW residents affected by HIV.
