On this day we recognise and affirm all women living with HIV, including our trans and gender diverse sisters and those who identify as non-binary, under the 2023 aspirational theme ‘Challenging Stigma: Closing the Gender Gap’.

When I was diagnosed with HIV in 1997, apart from the shock and fear and my whole life being turned upside down, I had to deal with the reality the programs and services were largely focused on men.
