What happens when you bring together people from across Latin America, delicious food and a welcoming space? You create community.
Our first Kitchen Table Stories Latin America brought together people from different countries, ages and backgrounds to share an evening of laughter, stories and connection over a traditional Colombian dinner featuring arepas, arroz con pollo, patacones and other favourites. Many participants met another Latin American living with HIV for the very first time.
The response was overwhelmingly positive, with everyone leaving full, not only from the food, but from the sense of belonging.
Every gathering celebrates a different corner of Latin America, so each month we’ll explore a new country’s cuisine while creating a safe, private and supportive space to connect.
