About Paul Maudlin

Paul Maudlin worked as a Project Officer with People Living with HIV/AIDS NSW (PLWHA NSW), now Positive Life NSW, managing the Positive Speakers Bureau (PSB) from June 1997 after contracting HIV in 1993. Between 1993 and late 1994, Paul volunteered for ACON and Ankali, and engaged with PSB positive speaking engagements until early 2004. Between 2001-2002 Paul took a year off from the PSB to work for South Eastern Sydney Area Health Service (SESAHS) and during that time also managed the Positive Living Centre (PLC) in Surry Hills. By 2004 he had relocated to the NSW Central Coast to take up a Sexual Health administration position for the HIV and Related Programs Unit in Gosford also working in HIV/Sexual Health support, promotion, advocacy and community development for Positive Support Network (PSN) which operated for 24 years (1991-2015). Paul also worked part-time at TAFE NSW teaching for the Community Service Faculty at the Ourimbah, Wyong and Gosford campuses before retiring in November 2021 after 52 years in the workforce.
