Positive Life NSW invites you to celebrate and honour the lives of women living with HIV at the 11th National Day of Women Living with HIV.
Please join other women living with HIV, friends, and our supporters for a delicious high tea event in a mixed social environment. We will hear from a range of speakers including women living with HIV themselves as well as clinicians and social workers supporting women living with HIV, in celebration of the national theme “Her Story: Unique, United” Immediately following the high tea, we will be hosting a Bring and Swap clothing exchange event.
If you have good quality clothes or accessories you value but no longer wear, this is the perfect opportunity to find them a new home. Please bring up to 3 items of pre-washed, clean, good quality clothing, bags, jewellery or accessories in good condition you value but no longer wear. No rips or tears (unless they’re part of the design of course!) Your pre-loved items will find a new home and you’ll leave with ‘new’ second-hand items for your own closet.
Please do not bring wigs, underwear, socks, swimwear, sports or activewear, anything stained, torn or unwashed, noticeably worn out, pilling or frayed items.
Guests will be limited to 3 items they can bring to exchange, and these will be checked and exchanged for tokens which then can be used to swap for items brought by someone else. Any items left over will be donated to a local charity to be rehomed.
Even if you don’t have anything to swap, come along, meet others, have fun browsing, try on items that catch your eye and find something special for yourself. Be sure to bring a shopping bag to take home your wonderful pre-loved fashion items.
