Peer Support Officer – Diego Salcedo
Diego Salcedo joined Positive Life NSW in 2026, bringing over 14 years of experience across community health promotion with a strong focus on CALD communities, overseas-born communities, and people living with HIV (PLHIV, peer engagement, and communications in Latin America and Australia.
Originally from South America, Diego moved to Australia in 2019 to study Marketing and Communications, an experience that deepened his understanding of migration, identity, and the importance of culturally safe community support. Fluent in English and Spanish, he is passionate about creating inclusive spaces that strengthen connection, reduce stigma, and improve access to support for diverse communities.
Diego holds a bachelor’s degree in social communication and journalism and brings a collaborative, people-centred approach to peer support and community engagement.
