Tobin

Tobin has lived with HIV since 1991 and is a valued member of the Positive Life NSW Positive Speakers Bureau (PSB) team.

As a well-known performer, writer, choreographer, dancer, actor, DJ and events co-ordinator/producer employed in the NSW community sector for over 25 years, Tobin offers audiences a strong practical message of health promotion, harm reduction and personal resilience grounded in lived experience. He also can call upon one of Australia’s most colourful and entertaining identities, Vanessa Wagner, to equally share his personal story.

Tobin is passionate about empowering the next generation to make fabulous life choices while enjoying safe, healthy, and meaningful lives with personal integrity and authenticity. As a proud community member based in the Northern Rivers region of NSW, Tobin is committed to sensitively speaking up and speaking out about stigma, discrimination, ignorance and prejudice, to dismantle these social levers that ‘other’ and harm in favour of inclusion, acceptance and social justice.

To book Tobin to speak with your students, community group, or BBV, STI or HIV trainees or to share his story of resilience with your senior students through the NSW Life Ready program, please book him here or call the Coordinator on (02) 8357-8386 or 1800 245 677 (freecall).
