Positive Life NSW is seeking suitably skilled volunteers living with HIV, to support our community to increase the digital literacy of all people living with HIV in NSW. This will involve working one on one with community members living with HIV as well as participating in group activities designed to support people to make better use of their mobile devices, digital technologies, computers and internet.

There are multiple positions available and we are open to receiving Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for this role, depending on your circumstances and preferences, with a set roster of hours, one day per fortnight, with additional training days prior to commencement.

Role: To offer one-on one support to all people living with HIV so they can:
(1) confidently navigate and use digital technology
(2) use social media as well as video and photography
(3) understand how to stay safe online, including email and social media
(4) address connection and access and
(5) participate in presentations designed to increase digital literacy.

This is a volunteer role with oversight from Positive Life NSW peer workers, managed by the Senior Health Promotion and Peer Navigation Officer.

Process: Following your email, Positive Life NSW will be in touch with you to conduct a brief phone/online zoom interview to assess your suitability to the program, as well as provide more detailed information about the peer-run Digital Mentors program. Successful applicants will be notified and training and volunteer induction will commence in January 2022, with the program starting in Surry Hills on Thursday 10 February 2022.
