Greg Page reflects on what leads him to donate an hour of his time each week to massaging HIV+ clients. Once a week I do a volunteer massage for HIV+ patients. As a trained massage therapist with over five years of experience, I'm constantly asked the same question by my clients, who are almost invariably middle-aged men: "Are you one of us?" By which they actually mean, "Are you HIV positive too?"

A team of French investigators has found that people who are taking an HIV treatment combination that includes Nevirapine (Viramune) are more likely to achieve a viral load of zero than people taking a combination that includes Efavirenz (Sustiva, also in the combination pill Atripla). Positive Life NSW and the National Association of People living with HIV/AIDS (NAPWA) have responded to a review of the Highly Specialised Drug Program, the national program that regulates S100/HIV medications in Australia. Better options can be implemented that support dispensing of HIV drugs by community pharmacies.
