We've compiled information about Christmas opening and closing hours for the main Sydney HIV clinics, services and outpatient pharmacies across NSW to help you plan for the holiday season, not run out of meds and get help if you need it. Read more
AGM Results
The new Positive Life NSW Board was elected at our AGM on 25 November:
- President: Malcolm Leech
- Vice President: Craig Cooper
- Secretary: James Wilson
- Treasurer: Paul Ellis
- Directors: Jane Costello, Brett Paradise, Simon Chaplin, Peter Thoms, Scott McKeown
At the AGM we launched our Strategic Plan 2011-2015. The plan will guide the work we do for the next 4 years. We also published our annual Activity Report in the SSO during November.
Picnic in the Park

Please join Positive Life for a Christmas Picnic in the Park 11.30-3pm on Wednesday 29 December at the One More Shot Pond, Centennial Park (near Musgrave Ave gates).

Planet Positive
A night of music + laughter for HIV positive people and their friends. The next Planet Positive is on Friday 17 December from 6pm at The Midnight Shift (Level 1) 85 Oxford Street Darlinghurst.

AIDS 2010: The World's Report Card on HIV
Neil McKellar Stewart is the HIV Health Maintenance Officer at ACON Northern Rivers in Lismore. He attended the XVIII International AIDS Conference in Vienna in July thanks to sponsorship from Napwa. The range and amount of creative thinking addressing every issue around HIV was amazing and the good work of tens of thousands of people was humbling. Read more
New Campaign

Our new campaign 'WRAPPED OR RAW' looks at choices made by pos guys about pos-pos sex, managing risk, staying healthy and having great sex. The WRAPPED OR RAW website is a vibrant and info rich source of video stories, fact sheets and also hosts online discussion forums. Pos guys are invited to share their stories, talk with each other and leave comments. Read more
India Removes HIV Travel Restrictions
The Indian Government has confirmed that India no longer has entry restrictions for people with HIV who wish to visit for holiday or residency purposes. In dispensing with these requirements India is following in the footsteps of the US, and more recently China in the growing number of countries removing entry restrictions for people living with HIV. India has the third largest number of people living with HIV. Read more
Research About Taking HIV Treatments
Tracking Changes - www.trackingchanges.net - is a new survey being conducted by Australian Research Centre in Sex, Health and Society about decisions, knowledge and beliefs about starting, stopping or changing antiretroviral regimes or treatment. The survey is an anonymous survey of people with HIV in Australia.
