Emergency Support

If you think you have been exposed to HIV, please see the following options.

PEP Hotline: 1800 737 669  (24 hour freecall within NSW)
Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) is a month-long course of anti-HIV medication that can prevent HIV from taking hold in your body if started within 72 hours of exposure. If you think you’ve been exposed to HIV, PEP may prevent HIV from replicating in your body – if you act quickly.

Generally, you can get PEP at a sexual health clinic or in the accident and emergency sections of most hospitals.
Note: The PEP Hotline is not an information line for general questions about HIV/AIDS.
